Wrongful Incarceration from the Cook County Jail to Illinois State Prison System

Black people represent 13% of the population here in the US and a vast majority is incarcerated that is more than or about 47% or more of black people. There is about 22% or could be a little more who are wrongfully convicted of crimes they did not commit, due to systemic racism and the hatred of black men. Illinois has so many wrongful convictions that taxers money pays for all the lawsuits won because of this injustice to a lot of black men. All black men are not murders. But the theory in the eyes of the system that is flawed and systemic racism is key. A black man is guilty even if he did not commit the crime. A lot of Black Men have been put on death role for a crime that he did not commit and some have been executed wrongfully. You will think that innocence means innocence when there is evidence that proves you're innocence. But, when you are black that doesn't work for you, because in the eyes of a majority-white system YOU ARE GUILTY, YOU LOOK GUILTY, AND NO YOU DID IT. Really is this a lot of corrupted police are also to blame for a lot of wrongful convictions of the black man. Your skin color means you are a criminal, your skin color means you have a gun when it's your cell phone. Your skin color tells me to shoot because I am afraid of you. Your Skin color tells me you are wicked and you deserve to die. The pain of the black man is real when there are a lot of black men whose lives were taken from them for a crime not committed by them. Illinois has this Act into law called "Accountability of Theory" and basically you are guilty, if you were there even when it states if you aide and abided in the crime before or during. The fact is a lot of Illinois judges have made you guilty just for being there and black. What can we do to stop the systemic racism and incarceration and long sentencing of black men? By taking a stance and making our voices heard and known. It is time for this to stop. Black men have been getting lynched and accused wrongfully since slavery. The Governor of Illinois along with the States Attorney needs to review past cases of black men who incarcerated now and have been for 20+ years or more based on wrongful conviction and the Act of Accountability. Mark Howard should be released.
